Protective Relay Testing

Relay Testing Overview
Circuit protection relays are part of the protection scheme which contains or isolates faults protecting employees and equipment. Proper electrical testing and simulation of relay functions is a complex task for most types of substation relays.
SES performs electrical testing, calibration, and repair of electro-mechanical, solid state, and microprocessor circuit protection relays. State of the art test equipment (ex. MANTA 5100 Relay Test Set) and software (RTS Relay Test Software) are used to complete testing.
Field Engineers with proper understandings of circuit schematics, switching schemes, Input/Outputs, Ladder Logic, power generation, and more are tasked with performing the relay testing.
SES is capable of performing line to line or also described as end to end relay testing and calibration.
